Quartz Publishing & Exhibitions Ltd – organisers of the UK’s leading logistics event, IMHX – believes that the recession is helping trade shows to strengthen their position in the marketer’s toolbox.

Says Quartz Managing Director, Paul Michael, “As the doors closed at our other flagship exhibition, The Cleaning Show, in early March, exhibitors were delighted that – despite the gloomy economic outlook – the show had exceeded all expectations.”

The International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX), the UK’s undisputed leader in logistics events and one of the country’s top ten largest trade shows, will once again act as the launch pad for a large number of new materials handling products and services when it opens next year.

Taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from 2-5 March 2010, IMHX will span halls 17, 18, 19 and 20, giving a total footprint of some 45,000m2. With just 10 months to go until the doors open, over 140 exhibitors have signed up for the show, including many of the industry’s leading British and European companies. Comments Event Director, Rob Fisher, “Despite the gloomy economic climate, IMHX is enjoying a fantastic sales position, with over 70% of floor space sold.”

A number of top automated system suppliers have booked stands at the next International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX) in 2010, underlining the show’s position as the UK’s leading comprehensive industry event.

Says Event Director, Rob Fisher, “We’re delighted that leading automated solution providers Dematic, Knapp, SDI Group, SSI Schaefer, E & K Automation, Kasto, Industore and PSB have confirmed they will exhibit and we are in advanced negotiations with several other key automation firms.”

The organiser of the 2010 International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX) is celebrating the fact that an impressive 70% of stand space is sold almost 18 months before the show.

Said Event Director for Quartz Publishing & Exhibitions, Rob Fisher, “In addition to our loyal early bookers, we’ve now managed to secure the presence several other major players, includng the fork-lift giant Crown.”

The organiser of IMHX 2010 has revealed bold plans to offset the carbon used at the UK’s premier logistics event.

In a move unprecedented in UK materials handling and logistics trade shows, Quartz Publishing & Exhibitions has announced that the next International Materials Handling Exhibition in 2010 will work towards being carbon neutral by offsetting the carbon produced by staging the show and by visitor travel to the venue, the NEC in Birmingham.

Materials handling finance specialist, Albury Asset Rentals Ltd, has been appointed principal sponsor of the 2010 International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX).

Asset finance provider Albury Asset Rentals has signed a major new sponsorship deal with the organisers of IMHX, the leading logistics event.

Following the resounding success of IMHX 2007 – with a record total attendance of 19,223 and over 350 exhibitors – space at the next show in 2010 is already 55% sold.

Following the resounding success of the International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX) in March this year, plans for the next show in 2010 are already in place.

With a record 19,223* visitors at this year’s event at the NEC, Birmingham, many of the 340+ exhibitors have rebooked and organiser Quartz is delighted that the show is already 45% sold.
