Confident in the buoyancy of the logistics market, Quartz has also launched three new regional shows for 2008 under the brand of its leading industry magazine, ‘Storage Handling Distribution’. ShD Scotland will take place at the SECC in Glasgow on the 22nd and 23rd April 2008. September 17th is the date for ShD South East, taking place at the Kent Showground near Maidstone, while the Westpoint Centre in Exeter will host the ShD South West event on 12th November.

Explains Paul Michael, Managing Director of Quartz Publishing and Exhibitions, “We were delighted with the success of this year’s IMHX, with many exhibitors telling us that the show exceeded their expectations in terms of both visitor quantity and quality. Given the obvious demand from visitors and exhibitors alike, the launch of our regional shows is a natural progression.”

As with its showcase IMHX event, Quartz is promising an active promotional campaign to attract visitors to the new regional shows. Publicity and advertising in both the trade and regional press will be combined with a direct mail and e-cast campaign to pull in high-calibre visitors to the three regional events. With only 44 stands planned at each of the new shows, exhibitors are being encouraged not to delay in making a booking. Comments Rob Fisher, Publishing and Exhibitions Director for Quartz, “We’re offering some very attractive early bird discounts to companies reserving space at two of the shows or all three events before the end of October, and these offers are proving very popular.”

As well as promoting its new regional shows, Quartz is once again putting considerable effort into the planning and marketing of its flagship show, IMHX. Taking place only once every three years, IMHX is the undisputed leader in UK logistics events, showcasing thousands of products and services across its 45,000m2 footprint. Running under the slogan ‘Inspiring Materials Handling eXcellence’, IMHX 2010 is set to feature once again all the industry’s major players.
